U10 Stripes v Mossley AFC Blacks U10

Another good game of football this morning in the early start, only the one goal but unfortunately it went to Mossley Blacks. But for an U10 game to last 40 minutes with only one goal, yet still providing an entertaining match was nice to see and shows how well the boys have progressed over the last 3 years. Passing and positional sense was as good as I’ve seen. Credit to both teams.
Ryan was excellent in net, with several good saves. Elijah his usual self, solid as a rock. Tom playing a full game in an unfamiliar role of centre half had a fine game. Hadiur back to his best in the centre of the park. Arsalan showing how skilful he is, just needs to learn a bit more about when to release the ball. Ibrahim playing in an unfamiliar role in the wing was unlucky with a couple of attempts. Bailey with some strong running and two great free kicks that skimmed the post, another day would have been in. We didn’t give a MOM out, all played well and I will give extra praise to Ryan for his saves which a couple of team mates commented on after the game. But Ellis was a powerhouse with some strong running on and off the ball, both going forward and defending. In the short time he has been with us he has come on leaps and bounds. So my MOM award goes to him for a very impressive performance.
Well done everyone
