Tight game against very good opposition today in uppermill, both teams playing very well throughout. Both creating chances all game. Both keepers on good form. Uppermill keeper must have made 10-11 important saves to deny Bailey, Ellis and Hadiur constantly as well as the post and bar being rattled from Bailey.
Nice to see some good passing moves from the boys creating these chances.
Our goal came in the second half courtesy of a great finish from Ellis that had too much power on it for the keeper to block on this occasion. Taking nothing away from the goal or from Ellis I thought the assist from Arsalan was fantastic. Two uppermill players were sprinting into a 50-50 loose ball with him, both took to the ground in sliding tackles whilst he used great composure to flick it above them both to give himself a second and a yard of space to find Ellis. Made the goal that bit more special. Defence of Fatai and Elijah was good majority of the game as usual as was Ryan in net making some important saves. Jayden did well playing out on the right as well and again showed progress in his game. One extra thing to mention was the link up play between Bailey and Ellis going forward. A strike partnership that promises a lot of goals over the next few years starting to click properly today. Constantly Ellis looking for Baileys run with well weighted through balls, on another day we have 2-3 more goals from that, hopefully they push on from here to add to the partnerships we have all over the pitch.

Final one to mention in defence, Tom. He was outstanding in the first half in particular. Decision making and his control of the ball are as reliable as Pete keeping his wallet in his pocket. Deserved man of the match award going his way today.
